Passport Services

Moon Library is a US State Department authorized Passport Acceptance Facility. The certified passport agents in the Library are able to distribute forms, accept completed paperwork, review required documentation, and forward applications to the U.S. regional passport agency in Philadelphia PA.

Passport Services Office is located in 104 Moon Library .Hours are 9:00am to 2:00pm Monday – Friday. Appointments are required by contacting Nan Clark at 315-470-6726 or Accommodations may be possible outside of regular hours.

Passport Processing Times

As of June 16, 2022  routine passports take up to 14 weeks to process. Expedited passports take up to  5-7 weeks to receive.

What do I need to do?

  1. Complete the proper application forms before coming to the library. This links to the form
  2. Schedule an appointment with Nan Clark 315-470-6726
  3. Bring the following items to your appointment:
    1. 2 forms of valid picture identification (driver's license and Student  ID card)
    2. Proof of United States Citizenship (original birth certificate, certified copy of birth certificate or original naturalization certificate).
    3. Bring in one passport photo. On the SU campus CVS takes passport photos. Kinney's Rite Aid and Walgreens also do passport photos.
    4. Two checks or money orders to cover the required fees.

Passport Renewals

Passport Renewals


If the passport was issued 15 or below prior years, the applicant must process his/ her individual renewal form. Moon Library will supply the Renewal Form (DS-82). ALL Instructions for renewing an adult passport are provided on the back of the renewal form.

If the passport was issued 16 or more prior years, the applicant must use a passport agent.  The library will process the application using the same procedure and fees as a new passport application.

Renewal Fees are the same as a normal Passport Application.

•Adults - Bring prior Passport and valid Driver's License.


•Children- Bring prior Passport, Original Certified Birth Certificate

◦If 15 years and younger - EITHER both parents must be present or one parent and certified letter from other parent.

If 16 & 17 years - One parent must be present
