  • SciFinder provides scientists with web access to comprehensive scientific information.

  • Before using SciFinder Web Edition for the first time, you need to register for an account.  Click on the image below.

                                        

Off Campus Access

Registered users may use SciFinder both on and off campus using the EZproxy authentication server.  Simply log in with your netID and student ID number when prompted. This is the same as accessing other ESF databases from off campus.

SciFinder is only available to members of the SUNY ESF community. Before using SciFinder for the first time, you need to register for an account. 

Registration Checklist

Register for a SciFinder account.

  • The web version of SciFinder requires that you first register.
  • Registration requires that you supply a valid SUNY ESF email (one that ends in esf.edu or syr.edu for current students).
  • Registration is not complete until you respond to the confirmation email.

JavaScript, Java, and cookies must be enabled. A Java plug-in may be needed for structure drawing.
