Fletcher Steele's Postcard Collection

Fletcher Steele's postcard collection is arranged as we received it with Steele's original hand written divider tabs noting the different locations he visited and/or that he received postcards from. Many of the gardens Steele designed in the United States were influenced by what he saw in his travels. Postcards in his collection include real-photo postcards along with standard mass produced postcards. Some postcards Steele purchased to remember a certain location, garden, architectural detail, etc. and some postcards are ones Steele received. There are 10 boxes of postcards.When possible the year or year ranges have been noted.
