HOW TO JOIN COS - Community of Science

From www.cos.com click ‘New User' (left side) and follow below directions.

You must Join the COS to access features including email alert service.

How to Join the COS and set up funding alerts:

  1. Choose Join the COS.
    • Choose either: State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry OR Syracuse University, depending on your affiliation.
    • When finished entering information, select the button ‘Create my Account'.
  2. Choose the button 'My COS Workbench'.
  3. Choose tab at top 'Search COS Funding Opportunities'.
  4. Choose 'Main Search' (rather than simple search).
    • Browse for and add keywords to your search.
    • Choose a deadline of ‘On or After' the previous month and current year.
    • Select button at bottom 'Do the Search'
    • If this is a search you would like to save and rerun, choose 'Save Search'.
    • Name the search, choose to receive a weekly email alert for this search, and again choose 'Save Search'.

Tip: Can join from any campus IP address.

Log in to the CoS Workbench to view Funding Alert results, update your profile, and access CoS services.
